About the new RC club in Bedfordshire - BEDSRCMCC
The Bedfordshire Radio Controlled Model Car Club - Bedsrcmcc - is run by a small group of like minded individuals who have been racing model cars for more years than maybe they would like to admit to! The main reason for the club will be to promote a friendly environment for all ages to come along and race their cars. Racing will be competitive, but at the same time it is about having fun too, with everyone helping each other to get the most from the hobby of model car racing.

A friendly welcome to you all
The goal for this new club will be to provide an opportunity for seasoned old racers to dust off their equipment and get back into racing again, but at the same time to encourage those of you who are new to the hobby of RC racing to come along and see for yourself what fun can be had from racing each other around a tight and twisty indoor track.
We shall make sure that drivers are grouped together based upon their experience, so you will never have to worry about trying to compete with experienced drivers if this is your first time. Like all of us, we all started off in the same position and only time and practice (not loads of money!) will help you to improve. What better opportunity then to improve your driving skills than with fellow RC racers who will be happy to help and assist you.
There are many different scales and classes of RC racing available today. The clubs focus will be on 1:10th scale Touring Cars & 1:18th scale Buggies/Trucks for the indoor venue and 1:10th scale Buggies/Trucks & 1:18th scale Buggies/Trucks for the off-road venue. Although we would like to cater for all types, it is felt that these are the most popular forms of model racing currently in the UK and offer those new to racing a wide choice of affordable options to go racing for the first time. It is also one of the best classes for indoor and outdoor off-road racing.
The guys behind this new club have raced at club and national level over the years and have experienced all the best and worst of RC clubs. It is our aim to bring together all the best aspects of the hobby of radio controlled model car racing. Racing will be indoors on a wooden floor at the Village Hall in Bromham, Bedfordshire. The club is also proceeding with planning permission to build an off-road track in Bedfordshire, more details will follow.
