All the latest news from the Bedsrcmcc Championships
The Bedsrcmcc will be holding four seasonal championships each year, comprising of 6 meetings with the best five counting towards the championship in question. This is a great way to improve your racing skills by racing against other drivers, all with the aim of being the best in your group.
Bedsrcmcc Indoor Autumn Championship 2009
Our first Championship has now finished and a very close battle for honours it has been, especially with a tie in the F1 group, the final winner being selected based upon previous results throughout the Championship.
The winners of F2 and F3 will now be moved up a Formula, and we shall be demoting the driver with the lowest average score from the F1 and F2 groups into the lower formulas for when we run the next championship. This has been done to ensure fast drivers in F1 or F2 who have not attended all races are not dropped into a lower group which would potentially effect the outcome of our next championships in the New Year.

The final positions are listed below now for the Autumn 2009 Championships, both overall and by formula. Only club members were awarded points for the championship though guest drivers can review the full race results for each round which are listed at the bottom of this page.
The championship is based upon the best 5 of 6 rounds with the lowest scoring round being dropped. That round is highlighted in red in all the results tables below.
Thank you to everyone who competed and we look forward to you all joining us again for the Winter 2010 Championships which will be starting on Friday 22 January 2010 - so put that date in your diary.

The F1 group couldn't have been any closer at the top! After an early advantage in the championship Scott Westbury has secured overall honours, though Andy O-Brien's late charge was almost enough to get the victory.
Although coming third, Joe Holden has the lowest average score per round of 93.16 so it's Joe who will become an F2 driver for the next Championship.

Courteous Driver Award
Here at the Bedsrcmcc we try and encourage close and competitive racing amoung our members. At the same time, it is always nice to respect the other drivers and their cars on the track.
We therefore asked all drivers to vote for the club member who they felt had shown the most courtesy while racing and also marshalled quickly and responsibly. The voting took place on our online forum after each round and there was one clear winner who seemed to be getting everyone's vote and that was Tim Woodbridge. Congratulations to Tim. Let's hope other drivers follow in Tim's footsteps and improve on their driver etiquette!
