What class of racing will the club be focused on?
There are so many classes and types of radio controlled model cars available that it could be difficult to choose just one. As a new club starting out, we have tried to make sure that we can cater for many racers new and old who want to race indoors on a weekly basis. With that in mind, we have chosen what are probably the most common classes of model RC cars around today. Indoors we shall be racing 1:10th scale Touring Cars, 1:18th scale Micros and 1:12th scale Mardave Minis (including their Caterham Chassis) while outdoors on the off-road track once built, the club will be racing 1:10th scale 2WD & 4WD Buggies, 1:10th scale Short Course & Racing Trucks as well as 1:18th scale Micros.
Close racing guaranteed with Touring and Buggies
The great thing about these two types of RC model cars is that you can always be assured of some close racing. Both these classes of RC cars offer the new club racer a wealth of choices in the market place from all the major manufacturers of cars.
Our best advice would be to come along to the club and have a look at what others are racing before buying anything for the first time. We've put together some basic advice on the manufacturers you should be looking at for both Touring Cars, Buggies and Trucks with details below.
